Daniyal is identified as Pre Verbal, and to support his speech development, we utilise Voice Output Communication Buttons. He enjoys using these buttons, and throughout our journey, we've discovered that keeping things simple, easy, and consistent works best. At school, Daniyal uses the button to express “Good Morning.” At home, we use it to help him communicate when he needs a change, like saying “Toilet.” We're still working on this, but we’re making progress. The buttons can also be used for his favorite snacks and drinks, as well as for “More,” “Bath,” “Bed,” and “Go”—give it a try! These buttons can record up to 30 seconds of audio and are very user-friendly, requiring two AAA batteries (not included).
Here’s how to use the device: Step 1: Hit the “REC” button to begin recording when you hear a beep. Step 2: Once you’re done, let go of the “REC” button and listen for the “beep beep” sound, which signals that the recording has finished. Step 3: Press the button to listen to your recording.
